Our Mission
The Concert Series at St. Monica, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Stephen of Hungary was created in 2019 with the intention of providing a platform that features established and emerging musical artists to the Yorkville area. Now in our fifth season, we hope to further grow the series and continue to provide a musical, cultural hub that will benefit our community from the very young to the very old.
Admission is free, but donations are warmly accepted.

2024 - 2025
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20 at 3PM – Medina-Zimmermann Duo: Clarinet & Piano
This upcoming season, the Medina-Zimmermann Duo is partnering with the New York Women Composers to celebrate the accomplishments of women composers throughout the centuries.
Featured composers include Mary Alice Smith, Florence Price, and Dorthy Rudd Moore, as well as premieres from members of the New York Women Composers.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24 at 3PM – A Musical Tapestry: An Afternoon with InCanto Artists
A Musical Tapestry presents repertoire that spans from Mozart to Puccini, as well as Hispanic, Neapolitan, and American composers. Featuring Sopranos Maria Ciccaglione and Cheryl Warfield, and Mezzo-Sopranos Leslie Middlebrook and Anna Tonna, with pianist Marijo Newman.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13 at 7PM – The Annual Christmas Concert
Join us for some holiday cheer as our Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, Contemporary Ensemble, and Chamber Ensemble perform traditional to contemporary holiday songs.
SUNDAY, MARCH 23 at 3PM – Dr. Sándor Szabó - Dances For Harpsichord, Queen of Instruments
Dr. Sándor Szabó will present harpsichord music inspired by dance. The program will include poetic "French Suite No. 3" by Bach; "Fandango Settings" by Rameau, Scarlatti, and Soler; the dramatic and tumultuous "Sonato in A Minor" by Mozart; and the jazzy "Saint March" by Utterback.
SUNDAY, APRIL 27 at 3PM – Piano Solos, Duos, and Trios
Join Skip Kennon on piano, Ben Pfeifer on cello, and Yolanda Wu on violin as they play selections by Frederic Chopin, George Gershwin, Cécile Chaminade, Domenico Scarletti, and Leoš Janáče.
SUNDAY, MAY 18 at 3PM – The Broadway Review
Back for the sixth season, our professional cantors and section leaders will present traditional and contemporary Broadway repetoire. Don't miss a special performance by our Children’s Choir!
FRIDAY, JUNE 6 at 7 pm – Songs and Reflections For Peace
Our Adult Choir, Contemporary Ensemble and Children’s Choirs with our St. Monica Chamber Ensemble continue to explore themes of peace through spoken word and song. Inspirational readings, thoughts, and quotes are interspersed throughout the program read by our lectors.
